Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean along with Central and South America.

The 2022-2023 school year in Union City has several new initiatives. Union City Superintendent of Schools Silvia Abbato announced the district has increased its use of the hydroponics lab.

Please take notice that there will be a SPECIAL MEETING of the Union City Board of Education on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 4:00 PM in the Public Meeting Room at the Union City Education Center, which is located at: 3912 Bergen Turnpike, Union City, New Jersey 07087.

The Young Marines are excited to start a new school year and welcome our students. We will begin practice and registration on Monday September 12th from 3:00PM-5:00PM. We will be meeting in the Emerson Middle School Gymnasium.
