The District Professional Development Academy hosted the workshop: The Alphabetic Principle and Phonics. In this session, teachers engaged deeply with the alphabetic principle and the role of phonics in building strong readers. They practiced strategies for explicit, systematic instruction and discovered ways to help students make meaningful connections between sounds and symbols.

The District Professional Development Academy hosted the workshop: The Science of Reading. Teachers launched the academy by exploring the foundations of the Science of Reading, diving into research-based practices that support how students learn to read.
