We have been continuing to integrate Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables into the schools in creative ways while increasing student interest in trying new foods. Please be advised the annual Winter Coat Drive is ongoing until Friday December 29, 2023. Thank you for taking the time to review the flyer concerning where collection boxes are located and what type of items are needed.

Please be advised of the different dates and start times for the corresponding schools coming up on Monday December 4th, Tuesday December 5th, Wednesday December 6th and Thursday December 7th along with an important message from Mayor Brian P. Emerson and Union Hill's Young Marines demonstrated their commitment to community service by actively participating in Mayor and State Senator Brian P. Stack's Annual Thanksgiving Drive. Engaging in this event, volunteers not only contributed to the packaging of food but also gained a profound understanding of the importance of giving back to the community.

Union City Teachers of Grade 6 Mathematics received high-quality professional development aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards focusing on "Equations and Expressions". It was a truly educational and informative experience for everyone in attendance.

Grades 1 and 2 Union City Teachers and Academic Coaches participated in a “Wilson Language Learning” training session to support the literacy work occurring within their classrooms. Wilson is a scientifically researched based literacy program that serves as foundational prevention to help reduce reading and spelling difficulties.

What an AMAZING job by the Soaring Eagles as they defeated Phillipsburg High School 24-17 on their home field. It is a truly incredible accomplishment as Union City High School is now the North 2 Sectional 5 Football Champions and Head Coach Wil Valdez earned his 100th career win with Union City High School.

Union City Teachers in Grade 4 Mathematics received high-quality professional development aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards focusing on "Operations & Algebraic Thinking; Number & Operations in Base Ten".

Union City High School is now accepting nominations for the UCHS Sports Hall of Fame. Both alumni athletes and coaches are eligible for nomination, in addition to entire teams. Please scan the QR code to nominate or view the link provided.
