How to use the COVID-19 Antigen Home Test Kit

The Union City Board of Education continues to invest in the health and safety of our students and staff.  The distribution of COVID-19 antigen test kits is one example of a proactive strategy that is being implemented.  As you know, the availability of COVID-19 antigen home tests is extremely limited throughout New Jersey.  Each school has designated a distribution team that will be responsible for assisting you with the school test kit resources.

Parents are asked to administer the test to their child on Monday, January 17.  If the test reflects a positive result, we ask that you keep the child at home and call the child's school on the morning of Tuesday, January 18, to report your child as absent, and additional resources will be provided.  Use the test, and stop the spread!

Parents can pick up a test for their child at their child's school today, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., tomorrow, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
