Congratulations to Dr. Nadia Makar, our José Martí STEM Academy STEM Supervisor and the mentor to countless Union City students, who was honored on Saturday, April 25, 2026 by receiving the Mentor of the Year Award at the MentorU Awards Ceremony. She also received a proclamation from the Council of Newark, one from the Councilwoman-at-Large of Newark, and one from the Mayor of Newark.
