The Board of Education and Mayor/Senator Brian P. Stack recently hosted the City’s Annual Law Day. More than 20 attorneys, including Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, volunteered their time and expertise to advise and help Union City residents with a wide range of legal issues.
The annual event, attended by more than 200 residents, was put together in conjunction with the Hudson County Bar Association, of which all of the attorneys are members.
Prosecutor Suarez, a graduate of Union City Public Schools, urged residents who are victims of crime, or who have witnessed a crime, to come forward and work with law enforcement.
“We will not ask you questions about your immigration status,” Prosecutor Suarez told audience, “we are here to help you.”
Mayor/Senator Stack thanked the members of the Bar Association and Prosecutor Suarez for their volunteer efforts and urged residents to access the free legal services.
